Here you will find details of the next Spaxton Parish Council meeting due to be held and the relevant Agenda and current minutes.
If you have any queries or issues that you wish to raise for the upcoming meeting, please email the Parish Council Clerk.
The next meeting of Spaxton Parish Council will be held on Monday 13th April 2026 at 8pm, at Spaxton Village Hall.
New Councillors, please come forward!
May will see the retirement from office of four long-standing Parish Councillors – Robert Adcock, David Jeanes, Simon Stretton and Peter Williams – who between them must surely have clocked up over 150 years of service!
Their retirement would ordinarily coincide with the local elections but, as you may know, Somerset’s transition to a unitary authority has caused the elections to be deferred until 2027.
Thus, we are looking for four volunteers to be co-opted to the vacancies for a one year period, after which they – and all the other Parish Councillors – will need to stand for re-election.
If you are interested in becoming a Parish Councillor, please submit a formal expression of interest to the Clerk, Sue Felstead, at clerk.spaxtonparish@gmail.com. You will also be asked to attend the Parish Council meeting at Spaxton Village Hall on 13th April at 8pm.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Date for diaries – the 2026 Annual Parish Council meetings
These will take place at 7.30pm at Spaxton Village Hall on Monday 11th May. All residents of the Parish are welcome to come along and express any concerns – or your appreciation! – to the Councillors, and it would be nice to also say thank you to those who are retiring after many years’ loyal service.
